Alcohol and Breast Cancer Risk
Posted by kathryn on June 21, 2010
I was really surprised to read these stats. http://bit.ly/d7Id5S. Breast cancer risk increases more with alcohol consumption than taking HRT.
From my perspective, it begs the question, when the HRT studies were done was alcohol consumption taken into consideration, as this would surely compound the risk? It also confirms that all things are relative and many, many women’s lives benefit from taking HRT – it remains a choice, just as all medication, taken for whatever reason, often has side effects and those side effects depend on your health at the time of consumption.
Long live choice!
