Glorious Forest Good to be alive!

There’s nothing to beat it. Frosty hillsides, mist moving and rising, sun shining. And it’s FREE!
Talk about getting your heart rate going! I must be fitter now, though, as don’t feel so knackered at the end of my run…
Nothing else can lift your spirits more than exercising in the fresh air. It’s taken me years to get out there and now I am, I can’t get enough of it… Haven’t been out for a week-too much rain. But the sunshine compelled me to get out there this morning. What joy!
My jogging/walking regime is improving. Must be 50/50 now jogging/walking. Started three months ago with 25% jogging and 75% walking. I can’t tell you how good I feel right now. Dripping with sweat, muddy… You know what I mean. The only downside is that exercising creates more washing (only a woman would mention that!). The bonuses are a boon to my mental and physical health – an holistic solution, you might say. My big thing was swimming, which I still love but you can’t beat being outside in the fresh air – it takes you to another place.
The fallen leaves hide some of the hazards and some of the exposed muddy paths take some negotiating. Cockrells crowing, donkies breying, horses puffing; no sheep or cattle this morning, they must have moved them to the other side of the forest.
Shower, breakfast. No, breakfast, shower and ready to meet the day. Joy!
