Working through the Autumn of Life?
Posted by kathryn on May 28, 2011
(sounds better than ‘middle-age’!). Can you help? I’m researching for an article on this subject and how menopause plays a part.
It seems women are resigning around the age of 50 because they either feel unwell, can’t cope, or just don’t like the job any more. Remarkably they are changing careers (it happened to me) and starting their own business. Menopause in the workplace is not being recognised, hence women feel forced, if that’s the right word, to make changes because they don’t know how to address these concerns with their employer; they feel ‘silly’ or a whinger. Is this you? Are you thinking about, or about to make a career change? Do you know anyone that fits this description? Please get in touch I’d love to hear from you (wherever you are in the world – menopause is indiscriminate!). Via LinkedIn, Skype, email or Twitter (simplyhormones)
